When in 1988 men’s sex lives received
a welcome boost thanks to the introduction Pfizer’s Viagra,
women were left asking themselves “what about us?” Good
question - is there a Viagra-like solution for women – is there
a female Viagra out there?
Some 43 percent of women suffer with female
sexual dysfunction (compared to 31 percent of men suffering with male
sexual dysfunction). The need is there and the opportunity for a female
Viagra is huge.
The
Drivers of Female Sexual Dysfunction
Female sexual dysfunction is characterized by
a lack of desire, arousal and orgasm. That's not to say its causes
aren't physical, they certainly can be. Hypertension, heart disease,
cancer, diabetes, thyroid disorders, neurological diseases and autoimmune
disorders can all contribute to a woman's lack of sexual desire.
Other factors include certain prescriptions
drugs, particularly anti-hypertensives and depression medication,
as well as over-the-counter medications and illegal drugs and alcohol
abuse.
So
Is there a Female Viagra?
The regular Viagra that we are all familiar
with, is designed to increase blood flow to the genitals. This is
the Viagra that works well for many men who suffer with impotence
— or erectile dysfunction.
In tests Viagra-like drugs also seem to help
about 20 percent of women with female sexual dysfunction – that’s
to say, in the case where the woman concerned is having difficulties
with lubrication (blood flow to the female genitals increase lubrication).
At the time of writing there is no pharmaceutical
female Viagra drugs on the market. Though that could certainly change
over the next few years as drug companies and researchers race to
develop female Viagra for, what promises to be a very lucrative market.
Banking on the success of Viagra — the drug companies hope to
find its female Viagra equivalent.
At the moment, they are focused on developing
a drug that increases blood flow to the female genitals, resulting
in vaginal lubrication and relaxing vaginal muscles.
Outside of a ‘pharmaceutical’ answer to female Viagra
which doesn’t yet exist, there are however established
herbal Viagra options for women. Female herbal Viagra options include
female
Viagra cream.

Women have finally gotten their fair due in the category of all-natural
sexual arousal and pleasure enhancers.
Currently, there are dozens of such products
on the market for men (not to mention several prescription meds that
cater only to men), but only very recently have women's products moved
into consumer focus. It is a booming segment of the natural supplement
market that's more popular than ever.
However, the use of herbs and nutrients to
enhance women's sex drives and pleasure is nothing new.
For many years, folk medicine and naturopathic
healing have had a variety of natural and botanical ingredients in
their arsenal of tools to combat women's flagging sexuality due to
fatigue, stress, dietary deficiency, aging, hormonal changes or emotional
upset.
What's new now is the availability of specialized,
pre-calibrated formulas in new standardized dosages using many of
these time-honored ingredients.
Herbal
Female Viagra
Female Viagra Cream is basically an
arousal cream - once applied, the cream improves blood flow and dilation
of the blood vessels around the clitoris, greatly enhancing sensitivity
and arousal.
Response times vary between each individual
women and with the specific product chosen, but the effects tend to
develop more rapidly with sexual stimulation through touching, rubbing,
and licking in the clitoral area.
